I dug up a photo of you on the beach Naturally it is not just you: you are leaning intimately on the shoulder of a slim young woman, smiling into her eyes. She has a great body and, confirming all my shameful envy, so do you.
A photograph of Robin taken at a rugby match. He is not playing but watching. Long hair and with those very same Michael Yorke good looks. He is watching the photographer with a wry confidence.
I found a photo of him from that production and it seemed to sum up so much about his stage presence and intense engagement with the part.
‘the play constituted the most important theatrical experience of my life’.
‘They were very peaceful and kind to us feeding us with beautiful food and as soon as we met, giving all the girls their ‘uniforms’ (velvet kaftans). We stayed there for about five days absorbing the peace and love after the hectic times in Canberra". Robin tallest in back row top left and Cy bottom right
As far as we know there were no photos of Robin from his journey back, but nine months after the book was published, Geoffrey London, a friend of friend sent this photo of Robin in Bala. He is holding his camera. Sadly none of the photos he took have survived.
